The National Medal of Honor Museum

Redglass Pictures lead the media creation for the 30 thousand square-foot exhibit space. Lead by three former Presidents and many others, the museum serves as the premier institution dedicated to the stories, impact, and legacy of Medal of Honor recipients.

Immersive Introduction Film

When a visitor steps into this immersive 360 environment, they enter the beating heart of the Medal of Honor Experience. We approached this room as an opportunity to create distinct cinematic vignettes that transport visitors directly into real places and moments and allow them to FEEL what the award represents to the people who have received it, and to the viewers themselves. To bring these key moments to life, we used the room’s 360° canvas as a window to unify immersive environments, transporting visitors into pivotal moments in the story of the Medal of Honor and the select few to receive it.

Interactive Corners

Each of these sprawling corner interactives (six total landscapes), created in collaboration with Dome, opens with a wide shot of an historically accurate battlefield created with a mix of matte painting, vfx modeling and illustrated woodcuts. As visitors step into the scene, they open portals that reveal the stories of soldiers whose actions on that battlefield earned them the Medal of Honor.

Original films throughout the museum

Situated throughout the museum, these films allow visitors to connect with Medal of Honor recipients not as larger than life figures, but down-to-earth people ready to share their honest truths in their own words. These films don’t shy away from the struggles that many of these recipients faced, and deal openly with complex topics such as racism PTSD, suicide and grief.
